Is the Archaeology Program?
The program is a
community archaeological activity. It combines historic research with
archaeological excavation to try and unravel the mysteries that surround 18th
and early 19th century Perry County.

where archaeology will give us additional information about the history of a
particular person, place or time in

Who
May Participate in the Program?
Since this is a
community archaeology program, anyone who is interested may participate; no
previous experience is necessary. High
school and middle school students, who participate, however, must either be
accompanied by an adult or have a permission slip from a parent or guardian.
Elementary school students must be chaperoned by a parent or guardian.

When
Do We Excavate?
Archaeological
excavations are usually done on Saturdays or Sundays during the spring, summer
and fall months. It is impossible to
give exact dates earlier than a week ahead of time because of changing weather
conditions.
